HCE was started in the year 1985, and is affiliated to
Anna University, Chennai. It is one of the most sought after engineering
colleges in Tamil Nadu, reputed for its highly qualified and experienced
faculty, excellent infrastructure and academic excellence which is being
maintained right from the inception of the college. HCE attracts students from
all parts of India and abroad. Over 200 international students from Bhutan,
Rwanda, Oman, Sudan, Fiji, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, UAE, Kenya,
Mauritius, Nigeria, Korea, etc. are enrolled in various courses.

A special course on English
Language Proficiency (BTES) of 9 months duration is offered to International
